So, I got a tip from a coworker last week that Feist was coming to town in November at the Paramount Theater. I’ve never been to the Paramount, and I’ve never seen Feist in concert. (If you don’t know her, I bet you’ve seen the ubiquitous Apple commercial featuring her song “1-2-3-4″.)

I’m no fan of Ticket Master, but I was definitely interested in seeing what I could get in the way of tickets. I logged in, and in my hurried-I’m-always-multi-tasking-to-the-nth-degree way, bought tickets. I checked out the seating chart and thought, “Huh, that looks pretty good.”

It wasn’t until I sent Bayou the link to the seating chart and looked at the seats again on the Paramount site that I began to think “Oooh…I think I got us seats in the nether region.” Bayou IM’d back- “How’d you get these?!”

I went back to the seating chart again.

“Umm… just did,” I typed back. “Are you happy with ‘em?”

“Happy?! How’d you get 5th row seats?!” she IM’d in hyper-speed.

Again, the seating chart. And then it hit me- I’d been looking at it upside down. The seats that initially looked good, then looked crappy, were actually kickin’.

So I have no idea how I got so lucky, but thank you, O Gods of Musical Wonderfulness.
