I’m nothing if not accommodating when tagged, as MJ has kindly done.

First, the rules. Damn rules!:

1.We have to post these rules before we give you the facts.
2. Players start with eight random facts/habits about themselves.
3. People who are tagged need to write their own blog about their eight things and post these rules.
4. At the end of your blog post, you need to choose eight people to get tagged and list their names.
5. Don’t forget to leave them each a comment telling them they’re tagged, and to read your blog.

1. HABIT: I always mark off the days on my calendar after they pass. Uppity thinks this is sort of weird and glass-half-fullish, but I think of it as marking my progress. It also reminds me if I have stuff to do before month’s end.

2. FACT: I have a lot of body asymmetry; one foot/ear/calf/other body parts I’m not talking about here bigger than its compliment. It’s not too noticeable to the eye, though. I think. I hope. *gulp*

3. FACT: I love words. Love, love, love. I think I should become a lexicographer. One of my favorite box sets of books is all about the craziness of our language.

4. FACT: I am a remarkable combination of wanting-things-just-so and lackadaisical
excellence. If it doesn’t mean something to me, I find it hard to put a whole hell of a lot of effort into it.

5. FACT: I’m a sports freak, but not to the point where that’s all I’ll talk about. I follow just about all the sports, in some form or fashion, and I have great respect for the work it takes to be an athlete. (Even if I don’t respect the way some people exploit themselves while doing so.)

6. HABIT: Some time ago, I started signing my e-mails with a “~” in front of my name. Don’t know why I started doing it, either.

7. FACT: Never been to college, not a day. At first I was afraid of it, and now I just don’t know that I’ll find fulfillment in a classroom.

8. HABIT: I change my desktop photo constantly. And my browser theme. Changing my visual environment does a lot to keep me motivated.
