Ok, I’ve about had it. I feel like I’m avoiding my own blog because civil discourse is getting to be a bit strained regarding mine and JG’s efforts to place Kaos.
Here’s the rules for commenting on My So-Called Blog.
1. Don’t call people names. Period. I don’t tolerate it in life, and I won’t tolerate it on my blog. You can call people psychopaths elsewhere. Not here.
2. Be courteous and refrain from making judgments about people you only know through their comments and posts. You might learn something if you do so. And if you STILL disagree, stay courteous.
3. I reserve the right to edit or delete comments. My blog, my rules, and I expect the same from others when I visit their blogs. If I’m rude or an asshole, toss me. Fair is fair.
People need to learn to let it go. We’re are not always going to agree, and no matter how well-structured your argument, no matter how neatly laid out it might be, sometimes you’re just wrong. And sometimes, you have to allow for the possibility that your way and someone else’s way are equally valid and deserve to be respected- not relentlessly attacked and disparaged.
I welcome debate- true debate, where the comments are civil, where people will actually listen to each other’s points of view. I sincerely hope that this is the LAST TIME I write a post like this. Common sense and courtesy should be guiding everyone out there; when you come here, don’t check them at the door- engage them.
