1. What was the worst nickname you had as a child? Nothing I can print here.
2. What is the most embarrassing thing that happened to you at school? I had to give a presentation on a book I read, and my fly was down. And everyone was giggling, but I had no idea why.
3. What was your most memorable haircut? The “Dorothy Hamill” bowl cut plus the 5in rat tail. Sex-ay, huh?
4. Which fashion trend makes you cringe when you look at old pictures? The big hair, the shoulder pads, and the colors. Oooh, my eyes hurt just thinking about it.
5. Who was your first celebrity crush? Lynda Carter, aka Wonder Woman.
6. What was the first concert you attended? The Club MTV concert. 1991 or so. Acts included: Bel Biv Devoe, Tara Kemp, Gerardo, and C+C Music Factor. So, so classy.
7. Were you ever in a school play or recital? What was your role? I was a Daisy in a school play, as well as a flapper. God, the ignominy. When I found out I had to dress up like a flapper I was ready to run away. And adding insult to injury, the damn dress was peach.
8. What was your favorite Halloween costume? I didn’t have any; I never really cared for Halloween.
9. What did you want to be when you grew up? Never had a clue, still don’t.
10. What was your favorite cartoon? I loved Battle of The Planets, Voltron, and the Super Friends.
Haha. Coincedentally, I just did a Monday post on my own infamous hair story. Mine was a hot Ellen-esque haircut I got when I was 15. It had a little tail/triangle thing in the back and I put about a liter of mousse in it every morning. (can mousse be measured in liters?) Meeemooriees
RAT TAIL?! Lach, say it ain’t so….
I taped a copy of Club MTV on Oprah, which I still have. I bet it’ll disintegrate if I try to put it in the VCR.
I wish I could, Erica. Sadly, there is photographic proof to the contrary. Damn my mother and her camera!
I remember going to the concert at the Richfield Coliseum near Cleveland and thinking “This is about as lifelike as plastic.” Totally canned, static performances. But I do recall thinking Tara Kemp was hot, so there was that.
