My So-Called Blog

Randomosity

List-form blogging, the laziest of all next to a single-sentence link to somewhere else.

  • We had a great vacation. Highlights include getting a steal on a mountain of fabric1, going to Dave & Busters, Balboa Park, and drinking a metric ton of Blue Moon.
  • Post-vacation lowlights include losing my $600 cell phone that I won at work last spring and finding out that not only was my bonsai not watered during our vacation, but that Pixel had murdered it without the house sitter noticing. RIP, Yggdrasil.

  • Bayou and I are brainstorming names for our sewing side-biz. It’s driving me crazy.
  • Work is going great and I have high hopes for my just-completed performance review.
  • I’m really considering taking fencing lessons.
  • It’s getting close to planting season, and I am itchy to get moving.
  • I cut my hair again. I’m digging it.
  • I want to start running in the morning, but I don’t know if I can force myself to get up at 5a to do it.
  • I need to expand my repertoire of things I can cook. Badly.
  • Blogging is a struggle for me right now. My energies are being diverted to other areas. Writing is tedious and I hate it when it feels that way.
  • Likewise photography. It feels forced right now. Ugh.
  • I have some great friends. I really am lucky.
  • I’m redoing my wardrobe and it is paying off in compliments and improved self-image. It was overdue.
  • I wish I could afford to live in San Diego.
  • I think I want to go back to school.
  • My wife is the best. I love her more every day.
  • TV is really starting to annoy me. The more I watch, the more I hate it. Why, I don’t know.
  • Pixel is growing. She’s long and lanky and a pain in the ass. She is the worst counter-surfer EVER. Time to get a spray bottle.
  • Sumi needs to go to the groomer in the worst way. She looks mangy.
  • We’re taking more sewing lessons soon. I am so excited!
  • I know there were more thoughts, but I can’t remember what they were.
  1. Which required another piece of luggage and $20 to check, but it was worth it []

Things I thought of while reading this post. In list form.
    - I perused free grocery tote patterns last night on the web, but wonder where you guys got yours.
    - Remembering what is in my overfull fabric rubbermaid…I think I have some tulle for produce bags…that would be good.
    - My friend Beth fences. I should get the two of you in touch.
    - Love to jog early in the AM…but rarely do.
    - I love to cook, what simple recipes can I share?
    - What no more cargo shorts???
    - TV is dumb, I totally know what you mean.
    - Cats make my eyes so itchy, but I cannot resist them.

Then I thought, I better get back to work, lunchtime is OVER!

We got our patterns at our sewing class. We can certainly share!

I would love to talk to your friend about fencing!

Any recipes are welcome. Share away!

Cargo shorts are here to stay, baby.

Back to work, lunch is over for me too. :(

I’ve come to believe list blogging is THE BEST blogging. Take this list for example: I loved it. I’m considering turning my blog into one big list. And yes, I too, wish I could afford to live in San Diego. But then I remember no I don’t. :)

ok so just post pics of the new ‘do’ and possibly the wardrobe – and we’ll be happy .

Working on it, Weese. I haven’t had time to take pictures of either! But I keep thinking about it. Congrats on the new job, btw!

I’m so envious! How was Balboa Park? We drove by it when we were there but never stopped by. Sucks to hear you lost your phone. What happened?

  7. Lachlan says:

It was AWESOME, crappy weather or not.

I’m not sure how I lost it, but I lost in West Seattle less than 3hrs after getting home. Someone switched out the SIM card right quick, because it went straight to voicemail as soon as I tried to call and locate it. Assholes.

I have to wait TWO WEEKS to get an iPhone because AT&T is a bunch of farking morons. Bayou got hers Friday.
